return to Tenant Improvements, Renovations, & New Construction

Renovations to an existing 45,000 square foot, two-story building to provide
a new campus facility for Antioch University. The design included symposium
rooms, classrooms, program spaces, a small cafe, and administrative offices.
We approached the project from two directions; one path was to set up a
process for input from all the users of the facility to clearly define the
program, the other was to carefully review the existing building construction
to optimize the resources available for the renovations. We were able to
increase the number of faculty offices by 15% (from the original programming
effort), yet still keep the project within budget. The project was
completed on time and within the established $2,100,000 construction budget.
Our work at Antioch University also provides a clear example of our commitment
to the development of sustainable buildings, namely by providing waste reduction
and recycling through materials selection, architectural design and construction
site operations.
Recent work at Antioch included an additional 4,000 square feet of renovations.
